I attended this week’s class by zoom, which meant I missed the benefit of being physically in class and learning. Still, nonetheless, it was an exciting class. we learned different design learning models teachers could use to create an effective learning environment and strategies for learners. In addition, I appreciated the instructional wrap concept which is about teaching and learning techniques teachers use to help students learn effectively; this includes the activities teachers design to help students learn better and assessment and evaluation strategies to check or understand and intensive as needed, instructions wrap helps make learning to be more fun and effective and allows students to take a more independent and active role in their learning.

The instructional wrap is an engagement tool to pause questions about pictures or videos to start a conversation about the subject or content, You could show pictures or videos related to the issue you are teaching, and ask good questions to spike curiosity and thinking is essential.

The group activity on developing activities for Bloom’s Taxonomy principles and coming up with what could be added for each of Bloom’s taxonomy was great.

I did Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy for my free inquiry to learn how it can be used for assessment; however, it was helpful to see what groups came up for each Bloom’s taxonomy category. I also apprenticed what Micheal mentioned about what is missing in Bloom’s taxonomy level principles. Articulation. That is such an important addition when creating something, it is essential to hear their thoughts on why they created what they created.

we also learned about Mentimeter this week. it is a great tool that can be used to engage students by asking questions about certain topics or subjects and it could be used to the assessment of students understanding of particular content
